Granola bars

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • ¾ cup honey
  • 3 cups oatmeal
  • Optional: dried fruit, nuts, coconut, protein powder, seeds, flax, chia seeds, or wheat germ

Directions:

  1. Combine the peanut butter and honey in a medium saucepan and warm over low heat.
  2. Stir constantly until mixed thoroughly.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Add the oatmeal and any optional items.
  5. Press into a 9×9 inch ungreased pan and let cool.
  6. Cut into bars and store in plastic baggies. No need to refrigerate.

Yield: 16 (2×2 inch) bars
