Carmelized walnuts

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 Tbl. olive oil
  • 1 Tbl. soy sauce
  • 4 cups walnut halves or pieces

Directions:

  1. Blend brown sugar, oil, and soy sauce in a large skillet over low heat.
  2. Add walnuts, stirring, for 5 minutes, or until brown and fragrant.
  3. Spread the nuts on a large baking sheet to cool completely before storing in individual serving-sized bags.

Yield: Serves 8 (serving size: 4 ounces or ½ cup)

These will keep for 3 weeks.
