“Cheese” (Nutritional Yeast) Dry Mix

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups nutritional yeast
  • 6 Tbl. cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup onion powder
  • 1 tbsp. sea salt
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 1 tbsp. turmeric
  • 3 ¾ cup powdered milk

Directions:

  1. Mix all ingredients and store in a tightly closed container (plastic bag or tub).
  2.  Keeps for 1 year, stored away from heat. For longer storage (up to 2 years), place in the freezer. (I vacuum seal mine.)

To Make Macaroni  & Cheese: 

Combine 2 cups cooked pasta, 1/3 cup water, and 4 1/2 Tbl. dry mix

Serving Suggestion: Serving Suggestion: This mix works well with cooked and dehydrated pasta. Use 1/2 cup of the dry mix with 4 ounces (weight after cooking/drying) of dehydrated pasta—1 serving.
