SLOPPY JOES

Ingredients:

  • ½ Pound Lean Ground Beef
  • Small Onion
  • Half a Green Pepper
  • ½ tsp Garlic Powder
  • ½ Cup Ketchup
  • 1 Tbl. Brown Sugar
  • Salt & Pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. In skillet, cook beef, onion, and pepper.
  2. Drain off liquid.
  3. Stir in remaining ingredients and simmer for 15 minutes.

Dehydrate:

     Spread on parchment-covered dehydrator trays and dehydrate for 8-10 hours at 135 degrees.

Yield: Serves 4 (weight 1 dried serving = 3 ounces per serving)

Rehydrate:

     Add enough water to cover food plus a ¼ inch. More water can be added if needed. Bring to a boil, turn off stove, and then let sit covered until rehydrated. 

Serving Suggestion: Serve on tortilla.
