Oatmeal and Quinoa With Fruit (freezer bag cooking)

Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup old fashioned oatmeal (or steel cut)
  • ¼ cup quinoa (dehydrated)
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • ½ cup dehydrated fruit
  • ¼ cup granola (I use my homemade granola .)
  • ½ tsp. cinnamon
  • pinch salt
  • 2 Tbl. dry milk

Directions:

  1. Pack granola and fruit in separate small bags.
  2. Enclose in larger freezer bag with other ingredients.

Yield: Serves 1

Freezer bag cooking:

  1. Add fruit to freezer bag.
  2. Add 1 cup hot water to the freezer bag.
  3. Let sit in cozy for 10 minutes. (If using steel cut oats, set 25 minutes.)
  4. Stir
  5. Add granola.
