This Is the Trip. This Is Our Story. It Was Perfect.

On Sunday, April 27, we launched Ripple in the Buffalo River at Pruitt Landing, Arkansas. Our friends Gary and Linda placed their canoe in the blue water next to the striated bluff.

We spent three days and two nights on the most breathtaking river we have ever paddled. The class 1 rapids over 40 miles offered an opportunity to expand our paddling skills. A few near misses added excitement to the adventure.

Then the rain came down, and the river came up, forcing us to stay three nights at Tyler Bend Campground. With more rain in the forecast, we decided the time to go home had arrived.
